Avicii dies at age 28


Swedish DJ and producer Avicii a.k.a Tim Bergling, has passed away in Oman at the age of 28 this afternoon on Friday, April 20, leaving his family devastated and people in shock.

The "Wake Me Up'' producer Tim Bergling, has been found dead this afternoon in Muscat, Oman where he was paying a visit. The cause of his death, for now, remains unknown. His representatives indicate that they will not make any further statement on his death.

"It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii.'' , shared in official statement by his publicist. They also added, "The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given." shared by Billboard.

Celebrity friends like Calvin Harris, Jared Leto, and Rita Ora who he recently collaborated with share their sorrow on social media after the confirmation.

Two years ago the superstar quit touring and announced his retirement from performances due to health issues. However, he never stopped and continued to work on new music in the studio.

Bergling has suffered from several health issues in the past, like pancreatitis inflammation of the pancreas due to excessive drinking. Making him remove his appendix and gallbladder in 2014.

In October the DJ released a documentary called ''Avicii: True Stories'' on his retirement from tour, where he opens up about his music carreer and health matters. He was worldwide known for his collaborations with artists like Robbie Williams, Adam Lambert, Coldplay and Madonna.

Avicii has made huge hits some of his most famous were ''Wake Me Up'', ''Waiting For Love'' , ''Hey Brother'' and ''Levels'' which got him a Grammy nomination in 2013.
