Luke Perry dies after massive stroke at age 52

A week after hospitalization, on Monday, March 4th actor Luke Perry has passed away surrounded by his family and friends at the hospital in Burbank. Perry suffered a severe stroke and was put to sedation when he was brought in unconscious. He became 52.
Luke Perry born October 11th, 1966, started his acting career at the age of 21 starring in various soap operas on ABC and NBC and had his big breakthrough in 1990 when he got the role of 'Dylan McKay' in the famous Teen drama series Beverly Hills 90210, turning him into the 90s heartthrob.
Today we know Perry for his single parent role in CW's ‘Riverdale’ tv show. A teen drama series based on the Archie comics, where he portrayed one of the main characters Archie’s dad ‘Fred Andrews’. The production of Riverdale has been put on a break as actors and crew are mourning the death of their beloved co-star. The Riverdale creators honored Perry by dedicating last week’s episode to him.
"He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends. The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time," his representative tells.
His fiancée Wendy Bauer broke the silence since Perry’s Death to PEOPLE saying: “I want to express my gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of love and support,” ‘’The countless, heartwarming stories of Luke’s generosity and kindness have been a great source of solace during this difficult time.” “The past 11½ years with Luke were the happiest years of my life, and I am grateful to have had that time with him,” she added. “I also want to thank his children, family, and friends for their love and support. We have found comfort in one another and in the knowledge that our lives were touched by an extraordinary man. He will be dearly missed.”
