Substance Abuse becomes fatal Mac Miller dies at 26

American hip-hop icon Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at his house in San Fernando last night, Friday Sept. 7th he has been found dead in his bedroom after an apparent drug overdose. Police is suspicious after whole house has been found cleaned from drug traces.

Mac Miller has been found at his house yesterday noon by a friend who called 911 to report. The 26 year old rapper had been dealing with substance abuse since 2013, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of his death seems to be overdosing, however as police arrive no traces of drugs can be found. The whole house has reportedly been cleaned from all drug elements. The cops did find a small amount of ‘’White powder’’ which isn’t enough to overdose on, this raises questions and suspicions.

His family has officially shared a statement on his death saying; “Malcolm McCormick known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26,” “He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans. Thank you for your prayers.” They also added ‘’ Please respect our privacy. There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time."

Ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande is being attacked on her Instagram with posts blaming her for the rapper’s death.. leading her to disable the comments. Despite the two split after a long-term relationship they have always remained best friends. Earlier in May Mac had been arrested for driving under the influence. Causing hate to rise up again blaming the 25 year old pop-singer. Grande spoke out about his substance abuse saying "I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety and prayed for his balance for years (and always will of course).

At the end of their relationship Grande announced their break up by sharing a touching note saying. ‘’ This is one of my best friends in the whole world and favourite people on the planet Malcolm McCormick. I respect and adore him endlessly and am grateful to have him in my life in any form, at all times regardless of how our relationship changes or what the universe holds for each of us.’’ Grande has yet to share a statement on his death.

Mac Miller rose to fame in 2011 with his mixtape ‘’Best Day Ever’’ including single ‘’Donald Trump’’ about the former president of the united states. He was known for his hits like ‘’Nikes On My Feet’’ (2010), ‘’The Way’’ his first collaboration with Ariana Grande (2013) and Diablo (2014). Mac was supposed to go on tour next month to promote his new album ‘’Swimming’’ which came out in August.
