Demi Lovato rushed to Hospital after Overdose
American super star Demi Lovato, (25) has been rushed to the hospital in Los Angeles after found unconscious due potential overdose at her home in Hollywood Hills this morning. It has just been confirmed that the singer is in a stable condition.
As the Paramedics arrived at her home they found the 25-year old in an unconscious state. TMZ who reported about the incident first writes
‘’Demi was treated with Narcan -- an emergency treatment for narcotic overdoses -- at her home.’’ Lovato has been rushed to the hospital in Los Angeles right after. According to TMZ’s source, Demi overdosed and fell unconscious due to heroin use.
However, PEOPLE reports coming from a close source to Demi that there was no heroin use. What has caused the overdose is still unknown but Demi is currently awake and in a stable condition able to respond.
The news came as a huge shock to millions of fans and friends around the world. Yesterday everything seemed to be normal the social media posts were positive. The singer has reportedly seen having a fun night out with friends.
Celebrity friends like Joe Jonas, Kehlani and Bebe Rexha reacted to her hospitalization with heartfelt messages.
Back in 2010, Lovato has battled with drug addiction, eating disorder and mental illness. In 2011 she entered rehab where she was being diagnosed and treated for bipolar disorder, bulimia and self-harm.
A year later after her treatment, she entered a sober living facility and continued being sober for the past six years.
Despite her struggling Lovato has started talking more about her mental health In the past years, to bring awareness to mental health. She was even the voice for the campaign Be Vocal: Speak Up for Mental Health. which focuses on making mental illnesses and bipolarity negotiable.
Last month the singer released a new single called ‘’Sober’’ where she’s confessing she had relapsed after six years of sobriety. Apologizing to her parents, fans and herself.
